Riverbank Guesthouse is a private residence whose owners rent out its 2 master suites; it is centrally located in fun Wilton Manors, within walking distance of the Wilton Drive entertainment district, yet peacefully set on the banks of the Middle River. Wilton Manors is known as America’s second gayest city (measured by percentage of gay couples – after Provincetown). Its 2 square miles are completely surrounded by the two forks of the Middle River, leading to the moniker “Island City”. Wilton Drive, the city’s arts and entertainment district, has become a destination for LGBT+ tourism. The “Drive” is approximately 20 minutes walking distance from the Riverbank Guesthouse.
The second main attraction of the area is the beach. Fort Lauderdale Beach is 4 miles (about 15 minutes drive with usual traffic) away. And world famous clothing optional Haulover Beach is 24 miles (50 minutes) away.

I had an excellent 5 night stay at Ken’s Riverside room. I really liked being right on the river. It was so peaceful and charming, as was the neighborhood. The little pool was great for cooling off after a long bike ride. The en suite room was thoughtfully appointed and very comfortable. I had everything I needed.

I think that I may have just discovered another home away from home. I stayed in the Riverside room which was just perfect. I slept so peacefully. I HIGHLY recommend this space and will definitely return.

We had a brief stop before we left for our cruise and Kams place was perfect…away from the hustle and bustle…a bit of a drive back to the cruise ship but the perfect hideaway after flying in…we would definitely stay again.
